RUMBES/Reading University Malaysia Built Environment Society

Reading University Malaysia Built Environment Society is an official society for Built Environment Undergraduate students at UoRM.

RUMSCA is a student association-like society in the Reading Malaysia Built Environment School that provides range of Built Environment Related activities including social events, site visits, certified training seminars, community projects, industrialize and professional linkage, as well as interactions and joint activities between all students in the school regardless of their courses, years, and groups which are completely Student-Run!

After 2 years of delay, RUMBES Committee have successfully held the RUMBES annual dinner on 2nd April 2022. It was a wonderful night as students and lecturers enjoyed the food and atmosphere. It was unfortunate that most of the alumni invited were not here to join us and celebrate. RUMBES 2022 has put in a lot of effort to finish what the seniors have started and we are more than happy to say that the event was a success.

A BIM webinar was successfully held on 30th March 2022 by RUMBES. Mr. Yip Kent Seng was invited as a guest speaker to share his experience towards BIM Technology. Students benefit a lot from the webinar and we are grateful for the time and effort of the guest speaker took to share his thoughts and experience.

The Mini Construction Product Expo was held on 15 February 2022. Ajiya Berhad, Jotun Paints Malaysia and Starken AAC was invited to present their products to the students and guests. It was a wonderful event and students benefit a lot from this events! Thank you for joining us!

The 26th of January 2022 also marks the official launch of the Buddy Programme 2022 initiated by RUMBES. The aim of the programme is to strengthen the bonds between the seniors and juniors of the built environment society. We hope that the juniors will be able to benefit a lot from this programme and bring the SBE community closer as a whole!
