Hi everyone! 😊 Today's word is 'COLLECT'. Kita selalu gunakan perkataan ni tapi tanpa sedar ramai yg salah cara sebutannya.

Tips dari Girl Razak ❤️
🔹Suku kata pertama disebut [KE] (seperti: nak KE mana tu?)
🔹Suku kata kedua p**a korang kene pastikan diakhirkan dengan bunyi 'T' tau, macam ni [LEKT].
🔹Sekarang cuba sambungkan
[KE] + [LEKT]. Don't forget the 'T' sound.

❎/ko.lek/ or /kol.lek/
☑️ UK: /keh.lekt/
✅ US: /ker-lekt/

⚠️ Tapi sebutan 'T' tu perlu dibuang untuk perkataan di bawah:
* Collects = /ke.leks/
* Collected

❎ /ke.lek.ted/
* Collection = /ke.lek.syen/
* Collecting = /ke.lek.ting/

Tak ada English speakers yang akan sebut 'poom' atau 'poyem' samada di USA, London, Canada ataupun di Australia.


So,kalau korang nak ikut cara British, sebut /pow.em/ dan kalau nak ikut cara sebutan American /po.erm/.

Pastikan ada sebutan 2 suku kata tau...bukan 1 😜

Perhatikan perbezaan sebutan British dengan American English.

ASTHMA. The 'TH' sound is silent in this word.

It is NOT /as.ma/ BUT /AS.mer/ in British English or /AZ.mer/ in American English.
