Elon Musk showed off Grok Bot doing his shopping, and the internet had a field day.

The funny part is the mistake. The interesting part is the AI. It took one message and handled the rest.

We were thoroughly entertained, but it's also a good reminder: an AI agent is only as safe as the details you share around it.

OpenAI is retiring Custom GPTs on 11 December and turning them into plugins. Google’s Gems are reportedly on the same path. The “ask once, get one answer” way of using AI is on its way out.

What’s replacing it? Giving AI an actual job.

A chatbot waits for you to type. An AI employee takes a brief once, then keeps working in the background, 24/7.

Malaysia's Budget was tabled today, and we spent the afternoon vibe coding an interactive site around it.

The Prime Minister's Malay-language PDF runs 95 pages. It was fed to AI to pull out the key points, with a focus on everything AI-related, and turned into a site.

Four rounds of edits, 17 minutes.

To honour the MADANI spirit, the whole site switches between Chinese, Malay and English in one click.

You can get the gist in a minute.

The six numbers everyone cares about sit right up front: STR SARA RM16b, minimum wage RM2,000, personal tax relief RM12,000. Open it and they're already there.

A few things that make it useful:

AI Zone: every AI and digital economy measure, split by individual, business and national level

"What's in it for me?": pick who you are (employee, SME owner, student or parent, homebuyer) and it only shows what's relevant

Eight Pillars: all 72 measures organised the way the Budget lays them out, plus keyword search for things like PTPTN or stamp duty

Fiscal charts: how RM510b is allocated, and how the deficit comes down from 5.5% in 2022 to 3.3% in 2027. Tap and you see it.

A few lines that matter directly to AI learners:

AI subscription fees can now be claimed under lifestyle tax relief. An additional 100,000 free AI subscriptions for young people, including ChatGPT. HRD Corp gets RM3b and 3 million training places.

This round the average age was a little higher than usual, and it showed in the best way. High commitment all the way through, and when class ended, many stayed back to ask, "What's next?"

1. ETA Checking - Checks shipment ETAs against carrier websites using Gemini with Google Search, then generates a report to guide decisions.

2. Technical Accounting Assistant - An accounting chatbot backed by a vector store knowledge base in Google Drive.
⠀⠀
3. Report Scanner - Pulls key data from PDF reports into Google Sheets. Less copying, fewer errors.
⠀⠀
4. Field Inspection Workflow - Field photos and details go in through a web app with geolocation. An AI agent analyses the images and writes an inspection report, saved straight to Drive.

5. Cover Verification QC - Compares a photo of the hardcopy against the final Illustrator artwork and generates a QC report.
