The Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), Multimedia University Malaysia, offers many courses in emerging fields within the creative content industry.

The Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) integrates academic study with extensive creative digital technology production work. This proven approach has placed Multimedia University at the forefront of Malaysian creative multimedia education. When the faculty was conceived back in 1997 the pioneers had a specific purpose – to produce digital content designers. In the age strongly driven by knowledg

e and information, ‘content is king’ upon which ‘form’ heavily relies to preserve its significance. The programmes are designed to provide the skills necessary to fulfil the insatiable global need for information, entertainment and telecommunication in the context of creative design and thinking, computing skills and business fundamentals. The faculty is made up of a well-balanced team of academicians and industry professionals in arts, architecture, broadcasting, computing, design, animation, and advertising. Together, the transfer of knowledge and technology is smoothly facilitated, with digital media equipment for production work and study.

The Final Year Project Showcase for the Diploma in 3D Modelling and Animation (DMA) and the Diploma in Creative Audio (DCA) is happening this Wednesday, 15th July 2026, at Multimedia University!

This year’s showcase highlights six incredible group projects, combining the creative forces of animation and audio students. Each team was challenged to produce a complete animated short film with original sound design, all mixed in immersive 5.1 surround sound. 🎧

Empowering our seniors through technology!

We are so proud to share that the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) recently hosted the “Bengkel Teknologi Senior” at Masjid Saidina Umar Al-Khattab. In collaboration with the SilverLab Project, Amanz, and Filamen, we spent two wonderful days helping over 40 seniors bridge the digital divide, led by Dr. Tan Yun Yi and Nordiana Ludin.

From creating personalized digital scrapbooks to mastering e-wallet transactions, our participants gained valuable hands-on experience and the confidence to navigate the digital world independently.

More than just learning tech, this was about fostering intergenerational connections and building a more inclusive society for everyone. A huge thank you to our amazing facilitators for their patience and guidance!

As part of the INVENTX Creative Exhibition 2026 pre-launch, we are proud to host a special screening of the AIGC pilot film: S.I.A.G.A 786: BLACK OPS.

A sneak peak of the film :

Set against the backdrop of a futuristic Malaysia, this 50-minute sci-fi thriller follows a bio-tech special forces unit, S.I.A.G.A, as they confront the perils of robotic, cyber, and AI-driven crimes. When a high-tech bank robbery escalates into a dangerous trap, S.I.A.G.A must deploy experimental, untested police technology, the K9 Rentaka and the Mizan Sword, to stop the mastermind, Mexy Yat, before chaos spirals out of control.

Produced by Nod3 Studio, this project marks a pioneering milestone for local AIGC content and pushes the boundaries of cinematic storytelling.
