ANNOUNCEMENT TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Dear students,

As you may be aware, the Malaysian Federal Government has instructed the Movement Control Order (MCO) and all offices are closed from 18 March to 14 April 2020 (subject to further notice) due to COVID-19 outbreak. In line with this instruction, the Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) and the Immigration Office have suspended all services including applications/processes related to student pass (Renewal / Reapplication / Cancellation and Check-Out Memo / Special Pass and others).

We understand that for some, the Student Pass may have or will expire during this period. Once the MCO is lifted, please report to our office and submit your application. Considering the extraordinary circumstances, Immigration announced that any passes expired within the MCO period will be adjusted appropriately. Additionally, for students with a pass that expires or expired while at home country, you may return to Malaysia with a tourist pass and submit renewal of the Student Pass once you are back to Malaysia (within 2 (two) months after the expiry of the current student pass). MMU follows directives issued by the Malaysian Federal Government and will continue to update students as new information becomes available.

Dear Students,

As the World Health Organisation (WHO) announced on 11 March 2020 that the COVID-19 is now officially categorized as a pandemic, as well as the increasing number of cases in Malaysia, MMU has decided that from 16 March 2020 until the date to be determined, all face-to-face classes on campus will be replaced with online learning via MMLS or other on-line modes of learning which are considered suitable by the lecturers.
