📚 Polite Requests 📚
✋Would You Mind…?
Use “Would you mind…” followed by a gerund (verb+ing).
Example: “Would you mind lending me your book?”
✋Could vs. Can
“Could” is more polite than “can.”
Requests with “I” as the Subject
Informal: “Can I borrow your book?”
More formal: “Could I borrow your book?”
Requests with “You” as the Subject
Informal: “Can you pass the salt?”
More formal: “Could you pass the salt?”

📚 Possessive Pronouns 101: The Basics
✋Mine: When something belongs to you, it’s mine. 🙌
Example: “This cupcake is mine. Hands off!”
✋Yours: When you’re pointing at someone else’s stuff, it’s yours. 👉
Example: “Is that your backpack? It’s so unique!”
✋His and Hers: These are like nametags for belongings.
“His skateboard is turbocharged!” 🛹
“Hers is the enchanted broomstick.” 🪄
✋Ours: When we share, it’s a team effort. 🤝
“This treasure map is ours. Let’s find the loot!”
✋Theirs: When a group claims something together.
“The school project? Yep, it’s theirs.”
Remember, possessive pronouns are like secret handshakes in language.
