The Sistrum — an ancient musical instrument from Egypt 🇪🇬✨

A sistrum is a percussion instrument from the rattle family, commonly used in ancient Egyptian religious ceremonies. When shaken, the metal bars create beautiful jingling sounds that are both rhythmic and calming. 🎶

Amazing to see our older kids transform simple materials like cotton sheets, washers, pearls, and wires into their very own functional musical instrument!

Not only did they learn about history and sound, but they also explored creativity through their unique artistic designs — making each sistrum both beautiful and functional.
