On 22 August 2026, representing UCSI University, Dato’ Prof. Ahmad Bin Ibrahim was invited by Nanjing Business School to speak at the 2nd China–Southeast Asia Kerry Youth Scientist Forum, held from 21–23 August 2026 at Nanjing University, China. The forum brought together young scientists, researchers and academics from China and Southeast Asia to exchange knowledge and explore emerging regional challenges.
During his session, Dato’ Prof. Ahmad shared insights on the challenges surrounding the circular economy, including the need to rethink how resources are used, managed and retained within economic systems. He highlighted the importance of moving beyond concepts and developing practical approaches that can make circular economy principles work effectively in real-world settings.
The sharing also emphasised the role of innovation, collaboration and cross-border knowledge exchange in advancing sustainable solutions. Through platforms such as the Kerry Youth Scientist Forum, meaningful dialogue between China and Southeast Asia can help inspire new ideas and strengthen collective efforts towards a more sustainable and circular future.
