Juliette Music & Arts Academy

Last May was one of our busiest months, but it was also one of the most rewarding.

Sharing a few moments from the Malaysia–Korea Cultural Exchange. It was a wonderful experience bringing together musicians, educators, and students through the shared language of music.

We are grateful for the collaboration with Seoul National University and Universiti Teknologi MARA.

A special thank you to Encik Kamrul Hussin and his students from UiTM for their inspiring presentation and dedication to preserving Malaysia’s rich musical heritage through the Makyong Ensemble.

Cultural exchange reminds us that while our musical traditions may differ, music continues to connect people across borders and generations.

This special showcase is designed to inspire students and enrich their musical learning through live performance and educational sharing. More than a concert, the session offers a unique opportunity to experience music directly from the composer, gaining insights into the creative process, artistic intentions, and musical ideas behind the works.

At Juliette Music & Arts Academy, we believe that the works of living composers deserve to be heard, studied, and celebrated. Through this series, we aim to:

✨ Promote and support the music of living composers
✨ Encourage composers to perform and present their own works
✨ Provide valuable resources for performers, researchers, and educators
✨ Give students the opportunity to engage with contemporary music firsthand
✨ Foster meaningful dialogue between composers, performers, and audiences

Hearing a composition performed and discussed by its creator offers a rare perspective that deepens musical understanding and appreciation. It also encourages students to explore and perform works by living composers, connecting music education with today’s creative voices.
