Selawat & Salam upon our beloved Prophet ﷺ

On this Maulidurrasul, we remember the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, whose life continues to guide us in faith, character, and the way we treat others.

Allah says in the Qur’an:

“Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example to follow for whoever hopes for Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah often.”
(Surah Al-Ahzab, 33:21)

May we nurture in our children a deep love for Rasulullah ﷺ, inspire them to learn from his beautiful character, and help them carry his example into their daily lives.

A Meaningful Beginning at Husna Integrated Islamic School 🌿

Our Grand Taaruf was a meaningful gathering that brought together our students, parents, partners and the wider Integrated Islamic School Network (IISN) community.

A key highlight of the day was our Parent Forum, “Parenting in the Age of Distraction: Understanding Our Children in a World of Screens, Academic Pressure & Big Emotions,” featuring Datin Dr. Hjh. Sabariah Faridah binti Jamaluddin (Teacher Fari), Advisor of IISN.

It was a valuable opportunity to hear her insights and experience on navigating the realities of parenting and education today — and to reflect on how we can better understand, guide and nurture our children.

We were also honoured to spend time getting to know Teacher Fari, whose vision and experience in integrated Islamic education continue to inspire our journey at Husna.

Beyond the forum, Grand Taaruf was also a celebration of our growing community. Our students had the opportunity to showcase their talents and performances, while our parents came together to meet, connect and learn more about the vision behind Husna.

We are deeply grateful to our partners and supporters who continue to walk alongside us as Husna grows. Your trust, encouragement and collaboration mean so much to us.

Husna is still young. We are still learning, growing and building.

But days like this remind us that a school is not built by one person — it is built by a community that believes in the same vision for our children.

We are excited for what lies ahead!

🏆 Every champion begins with the courage to take on a challenge.

Recently, 12 of our students, accompanied by Ustaz Shoberin and Ustazah Syazana, represented Husna Integrated Islamic School at the IISN Deeniyah Challenge 2026, organised by Integrated Islamic School Melaka (IILM).

As our first participation in this competition, our students stepped forward to compete in a variety of categories, including Kalam Jam'ie, Storytelling, Hafazan, Sacred Call (Azan), and Tilawah Al-Quran. Alhamdulillah, they also brought home a Silver Award in the U12 Storytelling category.

Yet beyond the recognition, the greatest achievement was the experience itself.

By stepping out of their comfort zones and competing alongside students from other schools, they learned an important lesson: to be the best, we must be willing to learn, grow, and challenge ourselves among the best. Every preparation, every effort, and every moment of perseverance is part of the journey. The results, ultimately, are in the hands of Allah SWT.

To our students, know that you have already made us proud. You accepted the challenge, gave your best, and represented your school with courage and confidence.

And to our parents, thank you for your continued trust, support, and encouragement. Your partnership plays an important role in helping our children grow into confident learners and resilient Muslims.

You are already champions for taking the first step.

A bowl of fresh ingredients, a dash of independence, and a whole lot of learning in action!

Using fresh ingredients such as cabbage, carrots and cherry tomatoes, our Year 1 and Year 2 students prepared their own salad bowls before exploring different flavour combinations with their choice of dressing.

Preparing a simple meal may seem easy to adults, but for young children, it is an important step towards independence. As they handled ingredients, followed instructions, and assembled their salads, they developed fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, communication skills, and confidence in their own abilities.

Life skills are built one small step at a time, and learning to prepare their own food is one more way our students grow in confidence, responsibility, and independence.

🏆 Alhamdulillah! A Proud Milestone for Husna Integrated Islamic School 🌱🐟

With hearts full of gratitude, we are delighted to share that our students, Imaan and Sumayyah have been awarded 3rd Place in the 5D Thinking Science Fair 2026 (Middle School Category) for their project:
“Aquaponics and the Lesson of Interconnected Living Systems.”

This achievement is especially meaningful as the 5D Thinking Science Fair brought together student projects from around the world, making this recognition a remarkable milestone for our young learners and for Husna Integrated Islamic School.

This project was much more than building a mini aquaponics system. It was a journey of learning through the 5D Thinking framework, where science becomes a means to recognise the signs of Allah in His creation.

🔍 Explore – Investigate a real-world challenge by exploring how aquaponics could contribute to sustainable food production.

🔄 Compare – Compare an aquaponics system with a pond ecosystem to appreciate the interconnected relationships within living systems.

❓ Question – Question the idea that living systems exist or function by themselves, and reflect on the wisdom of Allah who created every part with purpose and balance.

🔗 Connect – Connect scientific observations to Allah’s Beautiful Names, the Qur’an, and the Sunnah, recognising that knowledge should strengthen our faith.

❤️ Appreciate – Develop dhikr (remembering Allah), fikr (reflecting on His wisdom), and shukr (gratitude), while becoming responsible stewards of Allah’s creation.

Through this project, Imaan and Sumayyah discovered that science is not merely about understanding how things work, but also about reflecting on Who created them and why they were created with such wisdom and balance.

We are incredibly proud of their dedication, perseverance, curiosity, and courage throughout this journey.

A heartfelt thank you to Tok Ibu for her invaluable guidance, encouragement, and generosity in sharing her knowledge and experience in aquaponics. Your mentorship played an important role in making this learning journey possible.

May Allah accept everyone’s efforts, increase our children in beneficial knowledge, and make them among those who seek knowledge with sincerity, humility, and a deep awareness of Him.

This is only the beginning, in shaa Allah. 🌿

Salam Awal Muharram 1448H

As we welcome the new Islamic year, may it be a time to reflect on how we spend our days and how we can grow in faith, character, and good deeds.

Surah Al-'Asr reminds us that time is a precious blessing. Success belongs to those who believe, do righteous deeds, encourage one another towards truth, and remain patient along the journey.

May the year ahead bring barakah, beneficial knowledge, and opportunities to draw closer to Allah.

Behind every boat that sailed was a journey of ideas, teamwork, and determination.

Alhamdulillah, four of our students had the opportunity to represent Husna School at the Integrated Islamic School Network (IISN) STEAM Water Boat Challenge, held at Bestari Integrated Islamic School, Ipoh.

But the journey began long before the competition day.

There were plans to sketch. Tests to run. Problems to solve. Ideas that worked, and others that needed a second try.

Using STEAM principles, the students designed and tested their boats, discovering how science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics come together in real-world challenges.

And that was where some of the most valuable learning happened.

With each trial, the students learned to think critically, work as a team, and persevere when things did not go according to plan. Their enthusiasm, determination, and never-give-up spirit were inspiring to watch.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported, guided, and encouraged them throughout this journey. We are grateful for the opportunity, the lessons learned, and the memories made.

Every Role Matters

A forum may last only a few hours, but the lessons can stay much longer.

At the Forum Darjah 1 Pada Usia 5+ Tahun: Kesediaan Merentas Akademik, organised by Tadika As-Saadah with Husna School as co-organiser, our students were involved in many ways — both on stage and behind the scenes.

Some confidently presented their Science exhibitions on Electric Energy and Characteristics of Light. Others delivered public speaking presentations in Bahasa Melayu, English, and Arabic, dedicated to their teachers. From leading the doa recitation and presenting a silat demonstration to assisting teachers behind the scenes, every student had a role to play.

Each experience offered an opportunity to grow.

Presenting ideas helps children deepen their understanding and communicate with confidence. Performing before an audience builds courage and self-expression. Serving and assisting others nurtures responsibility, teamwork, and empathy.

These experiences remind us that readiness is about more than academics. It is also about communication, confidence, responsibility, and character. 🌱
