Parents play a very important role in Kumon because most of the learning habit happens at home between classes.

Create a consistent routine
Choose a fixed daily time for Kumon.

Keep sessions short and predictable.

A regular habit reduces arguments and procrastination.

Prepare a distraction-free study space
Quiet table, good lighting, minimal TV/phone distractions.

Keep pencils, eraser, timer, and worksheets ready.

Focus on consistency, not perfection
Encourage completing daily work even if itโ€™s a small amount.

Missing many days in a row is usually harder than doing a short session daily.

Praise effort and independence
Instead of only saying:

โ€œYou got full marks.โ€
