2024, marked the most memorable and meaningful of my life along the journey of being a piano teacher.

First, I want to thank MYSELF then pat myself on the shoulder and say, “Your hard works paid off!” This is the phrase I always say to my students, but never once said to myself. And this time, I really want to take time to thank MYSELF properly.

Second, I want to thank to all my students and parents for trusting me to guide and work together with your children. Your supports and efforts have brought your children to where they are today! 🌟

Lastly, I’m grateful for having a supportive husband and family. Their support and understanding are the key for me to soar further with my dreams in my hands.

🎄Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 🎄

Reflecting on the entire year of 2023 at our music school fills my heart with joy. From numerous exams and competitions showcasing the dedication of our talented students to witnessing their hard work paying off, it's been an incredible journey.

The Christmas party was the perfect way to wrap up the year, and seeing all our students having a blast was the greatest gift. Here's to the melodies we've created, the challenges we've overcome, and the festive spirit that unites us. Wishing you all a harmonious and joyful Christmas! 🎶🎄

"Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do." — Pele, Brazilian soccer player

I’m quite agree with this quote, oh ya, not forgetting, plus teacher’s nagging too 🤣

Cheeky boy who loves oldies songs 👦🏻
“光辉岁月-Beyond”

Before recording I asked him to focus so that we can get good video. At the end of the recording, I saw him doing action, thinking this cheeky boy must be doing something funny. But when I watched back the video, only I realised he was enjoying the music and was doing actions that matched the sound. (Look at the ending part) 🤣

Ser Toh Hersen - 2nd prize 🥈

He is the one and only student will apologise to teacher when play wrongly, “Teacher, I’m sorry, I made mistakes here and there, I wasn’t doing my best ☹️.”

You can actually see how serious he treats music, how much he appreciates music and what a perfectionist he is!

Congratulations 🎉

It’s ok to make mistakes on stage. From my point of view, making mistakes on stage is a very precious learning opportunity for students to learn to adapt and adopt in very brief moment.

When students started to make mistakes, they will learn to handle their emotions, they will learn to calm themselves down asap, they will learn to regain their focus, they will learn to quickly think of the coming melody, they will learn to stop their shivering fingers, they will learn not to rush the tempo through breathing, they will learn to respond rapidly, and most importantly, they will learn to beautify their mistakes, all in short period!

In conclusion, it is an important lesson and precious opportunity when students make mistakes on stage. Remember, nobody is perfect, we all learn from our mistakes 😄

Congratulations again! You’ve made it! 🎉
