Some days are all about slowing down and enjoying the little moments. ❤️

Our children had a relaxing day colouring their favourite pictures before ending it with a movie and popcorn. There were lots of smiles, quiet concentration, and happy faces all around. Sometimes, these simple moments become the sweetest memories.

Some activities don’t need fancy equipment to make children happy.

Just a few cups, some balls, and lots of excitement. Watching them concentrate, celebrate when they got it right, and immediately ask, “Teacher, can we play again?” was the best part of the day. ❤️

Sports Day 2026

What an incredible morning bursting with energy, laughter, teamwork, and joyful moments.

Our little stars truly shined, giving their all with confidence, determination, and wonderful sportsmanship in every game. It was heartwarming to see parents, siblings, and teachers joining in the fun, cheering, and celebrating together.

A huge thank you to all our families for your amazing support, our dedicated teachers for their tireless efforts, our wonderful parent volunteers, our food vendors, and Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah Bentong for providing health checks during the event.

We created so many beautiful memories that our children will cherish for years to come.

Thank you everyone for making Smart Reader Kids Bentong Sports Day 2026 such a fantastic and unforgettable day. We can’t wait to see you again next year ❤️

Ball Chase during Circle Time is always a favourite

This simple game gets our little ones moving, listening, and working together while having lots of fun. As they chase, pass, and wait for their turn, they’re also building their coordination, focus, and social skills.

At this age, learning happens best through play, and every smile reminds us that active learning is the best kind of learning. ❤️

Little habits that will last a lifetime

Our children learned about the importance of keeping themselves clean and healthy.

We talked about the correct way to brush our teeth, washing our hands properly, and why we should keep our fingernails short and clean.

To make it fun, the children practised “cutting” long fingernails with scissors and brushed away the “stains” on the teeth. They had so much fun while learning something they can practise every day at home.

Sometimes, the simplest lessons are the most important. Good hygiene starts with small daily habits, and we’re happy to help our little ones build them from a young age. ❤️

Some children walk through our doors as tiny, shy little ones. Before we know it, they’re ready to spread their wings.

Jezz has been with us for the past 4 years, and watching her grow has been such a proud and rewarding journey. From a quiet little girl to someone who happily joins in, shares her thoughts, and enjoys every day at school, she has truly blossomed.

Thank you to Jezz’s parents for trusting us with these precious early years. It’s an honour to be part of her journey, and we can’t wait to see all the wonderful things she’ll achieve in the future. ❤️

We are so happy to see Warren growing well, enjoying school, and becoming more confident each day. It brings us so much joy to know that he feels comfortable, happy, and excited to share his school experiences at home.

Tips on dealing with separation anxiety

When a child first starts kindergarten, the hardest part is often saying goodbye.

They may cry, hold onto you, refuse to enter the classroom, or keep asking whether you will come back. Some children may also become more clingy at home.

Try not to feel guilty. Your child is not being difficult. They are simply learning to feel safe in a new place, with new people and a new routine.

Keep the goodbye simple. Stay calm, give them a hug, tell them when you will return, and allow the teacher to take over. Long goodbyes usually make it harder.

Most children need time to settle. Some take a few days, while others may take a few weeks.

With patience, a regular routine and support from both parents and teachers, your child will slowly become more confident and comfortable at school. ❤️
