🧫 Petri Dish Science Exploration
Today, our young scientists explored how germs and bacteria can grow on different surfaces using a Petri dish experiment.
The children were excited to make predictions, observe changes, and discover that some things may look clean but can still carry tiny microorganisms. Through this hands-on experience, they learned the importance of washing their hands and keeping their environment clean.
At Junior A.R.K., we believe science is not just about facts—it is about nurturing curiosity, observation, and critical thinking from a young age.

今天,孩子们进行了有趣的培养皿(Petri Dish)实验,一起探索细菌是如何生长的。

From 15/5 to 30/5, the days were not filled with big events.
But every day, there were small changes.
Children became more willing to come in.
More willing to speak.
More willing to smile.
And more willing to try.
We could see it in the little moments.
A child letting go of a parent’s hand a little easier.
A child walking into class without tears.
A child raising their hand for the first time.
A child laughing more freely with friends.
These may seem like small things, but in early childhood, they are meaningful milestones.
And this month reminded us of something important:
A school is not built in one day.
A child does not change in one day.
Growth happens slowly.
Through trust.
Through relationships.
Through consistent, everyday care.

❤️ May 2026 is a very special month for us.
After months of planning, preparation, and anticipation, we finally moved into our new campus.
On the first day, we watched children explore the new environment with curiosity and excitement. We watched sunlight fill the classrooms and listened to the sounds of children settling into a new space.
At that moment, we felt something simple yet meaningful:
“We finally made it.”
Standing in this new space, we were reminded of the reason we started this journey in the first place.
To create a place where children feel safe, valued, understood, and loved.
Every learning space, every corner, and every detail was intentionally designed with children in mind. Not just to look beautiful, but to support their growth, independence, curiosity, and sense of belonging.
As we look around today, we feel grateful.
Grateful for every family who has trusted us.
Grateful for every child who fills this space with laughter and joy.
Grateful that a dream we once carried in our hearts has finally become a reality.
❤️ This is more than a school.
It is a place where childhood is cherished, growth is celebrated, and love becomes part of everyday life.

❤️ 2026年5月,对我们来说是一个特别重要的月份。
经过长时间的筹备与规划,我们终于搬进了新的校园。
第一天走进学校的时候,我们静静地看着孩子们在新环境里探索与发现,看着阳光洒进教室,也听着校园里充满孩子们的欢笑声。
那一刻,我们心里只有一个简单却深刻的感受:
“我们真的做到了。”
站在这个全新的空间里,我们再次想起当初为什么开始这段旅程。
因为我们一直希望为孩子打造一个能够感到安全、被尊重、被理解、被爱的地方。

Thank You for Joining Our Open Day | 16 & 17 May ✨
Over the two days, we had the privilege of meeting many wonderful families, sharing coffee, exchanging parenting experiences, and discussing what truly matters in a child’s early years.
During our Meet the Founder Session, parents discovered how Junior A.R.K intentionally designs every learning experience, environment, and routine to nurture not only academic readiness, but also confidence, independence, creativity, emotional well-being, and a lifelong love for learning.
Through our school tours, families experienced our spacious, calm, and thoughtfully prepared learning spaces where children are encouraged to explore, wonder, create, and grow at their own pace within a purposeful structure.
At Junior A.R.K, we believe that children thrive when learning is intentional, relationships are nurturing, and every child is seen, understood, and valued.

Much of the work of early childhood education happens in ways that are not always visible.
It happens after children leave for the day, when educators revisit documentation, return to a conversation, or reflect together on a moment that continues to linger. It happens in the preparation of environments, in the careful selection of materials, and in the ongoing decisions educators make about which questions to stay with and what stories might be important to carry forward.
This work also lives in the emotional and pedagogical labour of everyday practice. In noticing when a child needs more time. In holding space for uncertainty. In responding thoughtfully to conflict, curiosity, or unexpected encounters. In continuing to think with children’s ideas even after leaving for the day.
During Child Care Month, we want to acknowledge this often unseen work. The work of paying attention. The work of creating conditions where relationships, inquiry, and belonging can grow. The work of staying engaged with the complexities of living and learning together.
These everyday practices shape the life of early childhood spaces in profound ways, even when they are not immediately visible from the outside.

🌸 Science Begins With Wonder 🌸
In early childhood education, meaningful learning happens when children are given opportunities to observe, predict, explore, and discover through hands-on experiences.
Today, the children explored a simple experiment using white chrysanthemums, cabbage, transparent containers, and food-grade colouring. As the coloured water slowly travelled through the stems and changed the colour of the petals and leaves, the children experienced the joy of scientific discovery in a concrete and visible way. 🌿💧
From an educational psychology perspective, young children learn best through sensory experiences and active exploration. When children are emotionally engaged and curious, the brain forms stronger learning connections. Simple experiments like this help children develop:
✨ Observation and inquiry skills
✨ Cause-and-effect understanding
✨ Patience and focus
✨ Predictive thinking
✨ Scientific vocabulary and reasoning
More importantly, these experiences nurture intrinsic motivation — the natural desire to learn, question, and explore the world around them.
