It was my birthday 🎉 earlier this week. I don’t normally mention it or even really celebrate it.
But this year, for my birthday week/ month, I want to use the opportunity to bring awareness & raise funds for 2 animal rescue orgs- and
I also have a spreadsheet in my bio with donation links for my friends in Ga3a. They’re still living in horrific conditions- not only tents & b0mbs but now 🐀 too. Malnutrition, lack of access to clean water & healthy food…
Please support if you can- financially and/ or by sharing.
(In no particular order)

Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday by supporting these great orgs & amazing families 🙏🏻💚

“Enlightenment is a destructive process. enlightenment is the crumbling away of untruth. It’s seeing through the facade of pretense. It’s the complete eradication of everything we imagined to be true- from ourselves to the world.
Awakening on the level of the mind is the destruction of your entire world. What is destroyed is our own worldview- all the ways we are conditioned, all of our belief structures, all the belief structures of humanity...
‘The world needs to be a particular way.’ Awakening on the level of mind is a complete destruction of all of this, and thus our entire world.”

TW: SA
Every day I get up & I tuck my trauma away in its safe little pocket just so I can get through the day. It’s not conscious- it’s built in survival.
The triggers used to be few & far between. Now it’s almost daily. The onslaught, the pummeling, it’s overwhelming.
It doesn’t matter how much I heal- the wound will always be there.
We live in a world where SV & misogyny is normalized in every way- from TV & movies to news.
It’s so normalized that the majority of women have internalized it- and many defend it
Much like the hell we continue to see affecting so many people here in the US & around the world, buried under the systems of oppression, this, too, feels like too much.
Why does it feel like it’s getting so much worse?
It’s not- it’s just being exposed.
It’s up to those who benefit from the oppression to wake up, do the inner work, reject our privilege, and burn these systems down.
Like anything traumatic or toxic, Things are going to keep getting louder until we listen. We have opportunity after opportunity to heal these wounds & create new systems & new patterns of relating. Every time we look away & do nothing things will get worse until we change how we navigate them.
It’s up to us.
(Though SA & misogyny overwhelmingly is violence against women perpetrated by men, it does also affect trans people & men.)
Lately I’ve been feeling this intense pressure that keeps building. It’s like the release valve is broken. Everything feels like too much. It’s constant overwhelm.
Stress, anger, grief, anxiety. I’m feeling it all. Where’s the off ramp? I was feeling pressure in my chest & getting regular migraines. I was vacillating between exhaustion & stress induced frustration.
There are a so many tools to help get things moving without further depletion.
Gentle movements, walking, nature, breath. And acupuncture/ acupressure.
These points are some of my favorites. You can lightly press or tap the points for 30-60 seconds each.
-Pericardium 6- located between the 2 tendons on the inside of the wrist- 3 fingers below the wrist crease,
settles the nervous system, emotional balance
-Conception Vessel 17- located at the center of the chest, on the sternum,
good for overwhelm & grief, chest tension
-Heart 7- located on the pinkie side of the hand, at the wrist crease
anxiety, calms the heart & mind
-Liver 2- located at the webbing between the 1st & 2nd toes
helps contain excessive Yang, irritability, frustration, anger
-Liver 3- just above liver 2
moves stagnation, irritability, anxiety, stress
Some other great points for overwhelm:
Liver 14- in the 6th intercostal space just below the ni**le, suppressed anger, hopelessness, depression
Lung 1- upper chest, roughly 1” below the outer collarbone, letting go of emotional holding, grief
Stomach 36- below outer eye of knee, nourishing, good for stress & fatigue
Yintang- 3rd eye space, calms the heart spirit, good for anxiety & stress
Large intestine 4- webbing between thumb & 1st finger, moves qi, calming effect
What tools do you use in times of overwhelm?
What is the root of your overwhelm?
You’re welcome to share your thoughts below.

Over 100 strikes in 10 minutes
362+ martyred
Thousands injured, many more displaced
Entire cities wiped off the map (Apple & Google updating in real time)
Settlers claiming land they just b0mbed
An entire country labeled terr0rist as justification
The same excuses, the same playbook, the same global response
It’s still happening
Silence
No sanctions, no outrage, no accountability
Why do some lives matter more to the world?
I’m exhausted & drained. Everything feels so heavy. My heart physically hurts.
We’re not meant to hold all of this. We’re not meant to keep going like life is normal while the world burns down around us. While gen0cide after gen0cide happens.
This is not ok.
The spiritual community, as a whole, silent. It’s so disappointing.
I honestly don’t know what to do anymore. I don’t have the energy to move my body. But I need to find a way because all the emotions are stuck.
I pray for the people & animals of 🇱🇧
May they live a life of peace on their own lands

I’m not ok.
This isn’t normal. How are we supposed to act like nothing is happening? The world is on fire & we’re having regularly scheduled programs.
The silence is deafening.
