Some children are just unable to calm down and sit still. How can Neurofeedback train the children who have special conditions such as ADHD?
Neurofeedback is a form of neuro-therapy that directly trains brain functions to help correct abnormal brain wave patterns. It is based on our electrical brain activity, the EEG or electroencephalogram, hence also being dubbed “EEG biofeedback.”
If your child is struggling with ADHD or if you simply want to help them focus better, Neurofeedback is an effective alternative.

Our brain is very flexible – like a person who practices yoga for a very long time – it can really reshape itself.
Neuroplasticity, it means the capacity of neurons and neural networks in the brain to change their connections and behaviour in response to new information, sensory stimulation, development, damage, or dysfunction.
This means that our brain is very susceptible to changes and improvement. While changes in the brain happens easily, we need to understand the stimuli that the brain receive in the training.
The stimuli that could facilitate the changes of the brain, is a reward in the form of sound and visual to the stable and focused brain, which will train up the brain’s capacity to maintain a healthy brain state!

From the external observation, we may see someone sitting in front of a computer, surrounded a thin black belt around their head – what is that?
This is actually the brain training program settings!
When the student is undertaking the training, they will need to wear a sensor, which is attached on the black belt. The sensor allows the computer software to process and analyze real-time brainwave data, hence feedback can be provided in real-time as well.
From there, the student is able to receive feedback and rewards from the Neurofeedback gaming software whenever they are focusing or under a stable brain condition.
However, how does this reward system trains the brain?
Let us learn the how tomorrow!
