2026 KOREATECH-UTHM Internship Mobility Programme | Trip to Sungai Balang
From 15-16 July 2026, students from Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH) embarked on a meaningful cultural and community experience in Sungai Balang, Muar, Johor as part of the KOREATECH-UTHM Student Mobility Programme.
The two-day programme brought together cultural immersion, heritage, innovation, and community engagement, giving students the opportunity to experience the local way of life while connecting with the Sungai Balang community.
Students explored the local heritage and community lifestyle through activities including mangrove exploration, mussel farming, traditional food preparation, heritage activities, and cultural experiences at Sarang Buaya Homestay. The journey continued with a visit to the Community Innovation Hub (Ruang Daya Cipta – RDC Muar), followed by visits to Sungai Gersik Hot Spring, Kg. Parit Bugis, Sungai Balang Rice Fields & Living Lab, and other local community initiatives.
The programme created opportunities more than just a visit for cross-cultural learning, knowledge exchange, community engagement, and meaningful friendships between Malaysian and Korean students.

2026 KOREATECH–UTHM Internship Mobility Programme | Closing Ceremony
23 July 2026 | A meaningful journey comes to an end, but the memories and connections will last beyond borders. 🇲🇾🇰🇷
The 2026 KOREATECH–UTHM Internship Mobility Programme officially concluded with a closing ceremony held on 23 July 2026 at the CGS Meeting Room, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM).
Throughout their internship at UTHM, students from Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH) gained valuable academic and practical experience while exploring Malaysian culture, engaging with the UTHM community, and building meaningful international friendships.
The closing ceremony marked the successful completion of their internship programme and provided an opportunity to celebrate their achievements, experiences, and contributions throughout their stay at UTHM.
Thank you to all KOREATECH students, supervisors, faculties, and everyone involved in making this mobility programme a meaningful and memorable experience.
We wish all the students continued success in their academic and professional journeys. May the knowledge, experiences, and friendships gained at UTHM stay with you wherever your journey takes you.

This is not just a visit. This is UTHM Togetherness.
Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) was honoured to welcome a delegation from Walisongo State Islamic University (UIN Walisongo), Semarang, Indonesia, for an official visit on 4–5 August 2026.
The programme began with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) discussion involving the Centre for Diploma Studies (PPD) and the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST). Throughout the visit, the delegation also toured the laboratories of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM) and the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Built Environment (FKAAB), providing opportunities for knowledge exchange and future collaboration.
As part of the experience, the students participated in Edutrail@UTHM, one of UTHM’s EduTourism packages, and competed in the International Innovation and Invention Competition (IICE) hosted by the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (FKEE).
More than just an official visit, this programme showcased the spirit of UTHM togetherness—where faculties, centres, and offices came together with one shared purpose: strengthening international collaboration and creating meaningful global impact.
