4 and 5 February 2023 |Malaysia Our Second Home programme was successfully conducted in Kampung Parit Bugis, Muar Johor. A total of 30 participants including officers from the International Office, Local Buddies, mobility students and international students from Indonesia, Yemen, Nigeria and Somalia have made the programme successful.
The main goal of this programme is to expose the participants to various aspects of knowledge, culture, the arts and social interaction, as well as enhance students' abilities to build relationships and expand networks with the local communities.
Various activities such as visiting the (UTHM Living Lab), visiting the village by Gerabak, visiting Kraton Mbah Anang and seeing IKS homemade productions like Rempeyek, Bahulu & Kuih Ros. They also experienced Barongan & Kuda Kepang performances and more.
Thanks to Koperasi Homestay Kampung Parit Bugis Muar Berhad, D'Impian Agro and Persatuan Jawa Parit Bugis Muar Johor for accepting us.
The memories gained during our stay with the adoptive family will never be forgotten.
