Proprioception is a process that the body can vary muscle contraction in response to movements and postures. The brain sends out immediate adjustments to the muscles and joints in order to control the different parts of the body and balance. Therefore, we can perform a series of actions without looking at our hands and feet. Children who have poor proprioception are considered inattentive as they have to determine the position of their bodies with visual assistance.

Sensory Integration Training is a series of well-planned vertebral training activities. It helps the limbs and body send sensory information to the brain through central nerves and the brain will process, analyze the information and make adjustments in body coordination. Thus, it can solve the children’s inattentive problems that result in learning difficulties.

Good auditory memory comes from soundly developed inner ear nervous system, and the cochlea is precisely an important collecting and analyzing station for sounds.

Visual discrimination ability is alsothe foundation of thinking ability

Children who have visual discrimination problem are often unable to distinguish differences between words. This functional disorder will lead to learning difficulties or disabilities.

In addition, the child will spend most of the time on the distinction of letter and word shapes when reading. While they are “scanning” the words, visual discrimination ability helps with identifying various people, things, objects, images, shapes, and symbols in textbooks. Hence, it is important for children to have finely developed visual discrimination skills.
