🏗️ CIOB Malaysia at MBAM OneBuild 2026

CIOB Malaysia is pleased to be part of MBAM OneBuild 2026, held from 5–7 August 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

Throughout the exhibition, we had the opportunity to connect with construction professionals, industry practitioners, students and stakeholders, while promoting CIOB membership and professional development pathways within the built environment sector.

It was also a valuable platform to share how CIOB supports construction professionals at different stages of their careers through professional recognition, continuous development, industry engagement and a global professional network.

Thank you to everyone who visited and engaged with us during MBAM OneBuild 2026. We look forward to welcoming more construction professionals into the CIOB community and continuing to strengthen professionalism within the industry.

Strengthening Connections Across Academia and the Construction Profession

On 24 July 2026, the CIOB Malaysia delegation continued our engagement in Penang with a series of productive visits aimed at strengthening collaboration between academia, industry, and professional institutions.

Our day began with a visit to TAR UMT Penang Branch, where we had the opportunity to engage with the academic team and learn more about the campus's initiatives in supporting higher education and the development of future built environment professionals.

We were also delighted to have lunch with Ts. Poo Teng Soo, President of The Technological Association Malaysia (TAM). The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas on professional development, leadership, and potential areas of future collaboration.

In the afternoon, we visited the School of Housing, Building and Planning (HBP), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), where we held fruitful discussions on strengthening university–professional body collaboration, particularly in advancing professional education, research, student engagement, and industry partnerships.

CIOB Malaysia sincerely thanks TAR UMT Penang Branch, represented by Ms. Ting Eng Sia, Deputy Branch Head (Academic), and the School of Housing, Building and Planning, USM, represented by Gs. Dr. Mohd Ismail bin Isa, Deputy Dean, for their warm hospitality and valuable discussions. We look forward to developing meaningful collaborations that will benefit the construction profession and future industry leaders.
