Concerning the recent viral tragedy, parents, please educate your boys on how to treat girls.
There is a lot of unsolicited advice on social media following the homicide but it focuses on what girls/women must do to avoid facing a similar fate.
Which is not wrong. But advice must be balanced and social media are critically lacking of advice for boys/men.
What is up with that?
So here are some pointers for the parents on what to teach your male children.
1) Teach them that girls/women are not objects.
2) Teach them that NO means NO.
3) Teach them not to hold grudges.
4) Teach them that since they are physically stronger (God made them like this), they are supposed to use their strength to protect girls/women around them, not harm them.
5) Teach them what leaders should do and how they should behave.
6) Teach them about sexual and social boundaries.
7) Teach them about actions and consequences.
8) Teach them that one rejection is not the end of the world.
9) Teach them to be LOYAL to their spouses.
10) Teach them that having an affair never ends well. Life is not a movie.
11) Teach them to always contact you, it keeps them grounded.
12) Teach them to listen to their right minds, no matter how much Roxette says to Listen to Your Heart.
OK, that is all that I can think of.
