2026年8月22日（星期六），美湖培英学校的孩子们再次踏上 Kejohanan Taekwon-Do Tertutup Antara Sekolah “Elite Challenge 2026” Pulau Pinang 的赛场。
17位小选手，带着平日训练的汗水、坚持与勇气，勇敢站上赛场。
而这一次，他们交出了一份让我们无比感动、无比骄傲的成绩单：

✨ 今年参赛人数比去年少了3位，奖牌却比去年多了10面！
金牌依然保持 6面；
银牌从 4面增加到7面；
铜牌更从 3面增加到10面！
人数少了，奖牌却增加了。
这组数字背后，代表的其实是孩子们这一两年来非常明显的成长与进步。
从13面奖牌，到23面奖牌。
我们看到的不只是成绩的提升，而是孩子们的技术越来越扎实，
比赛经验越来越丰富，面对对手越来越有信心，面对压力也越来越勇敢。
🌱 孩子们真的长大了，也真的越来越强了。
🌟 特别值得一提的是我们的7岁小选手！
今年，我们迎来了几位刚刚踏入一年级、只有7岁的小朋友。
对于他们来说，这是第一次参加正式的跆拳道比赛。
第一次穿上比赛服，
第一次站在正式的赛场，
第一次面对陌生的对手，
第一次感受比赛前的紧张与压力……
但是，他们还是勇敢地走上去了。🥋❤️
其中：
🥇🥈 Edzer Tan Yi Zhe（7岁）
第一次参赛，就获得 套拳金牌 + 对打银牌！🏆
🥉🥉 Ten Yee Yu（7岁）
第一次参赛，也勇敢拿下 套拳铜牌 + 对打铜牌！👏
🏅 Cheng Min Zuo（7岁）
第一次参加正式比赛，虽然没有获得金、银、铜牌，但凭着勇气与努力，获得了大会颁发的 安慰奖（Consolation Prize）！❤️
对于一个第一次踏上赛场的7岁孩子来说，能够勇敢完成比赛、坚持到最后，并获得大会的肯定，这本身就是一份非常珍贵的鼓励。
奖牌有不同的颜色，
但每一个孩子的努力，都值得被看见。 ❤️
我们希望孩子们记住的，不只是今天拿到了什么奖，
而是“我曾经勇敢过，我曾经努力过，我敢站上这个赛场！”
这，就是成长最美好的开始。🌱🥋✨

而没有获得奖牌的孩子，也同样值得骄傲。
因为每一次上场，都是一次成长；

每一次失败之后愿意继续练习，都是一种进步。
也许孩子现在还不知道，
但多年以后回头看，
他们会发现原来自己小时候，曾经这样勇敢地站上过赛场。 ❤️

On Saturday, 22 August 2026, our young athletes from SJKC Poi Eng once again stepped onto the competition stage at the Kejohanan Taekwon-Do Tertutup Antara Sekolah “Elite Challenge 2026” Pulau Pinang.
With the sweat, dedication and courage built through countless training sessions, our 17 young athletes bravely took on the challenge.
And this time, they came home with a result that filled us with immense pride and joy:

❤️ THIS YEAR, WHAT MOVED US MOST WAS NOT JUST THE MEDALS — BUT THE GROWTH.
When we compare this year’s results with last year’s, we see something truly remarkable.

✨ This year, we had 3 fewer participants, yet we brought home 10 more medals!
Our Gold Medal tally remained at 6.
Silver Medals increased from 4 to 7.
And Bronze Medals increased significantly from 3 to 10!
Fewer participants, yet more medals.
Behind these numbers lies something far more meaningful — the tremendous growth and progress of our young athletes over the past one to two years.
From 13 medals to 23 medals.
We are not only seeing better results.
We are seeing stronger techniques, greater competition experience, more confidence when facing opponents, and greater courage when facing pressure.
🌱 Our children have truly grown — and they are becoming stronger, one step at a time.
🌟 A SPECIAL SHOUT-OUT TO OUR 7-YEAR-OLD YOUNG ATHLETES!
This year, we welcomed several young athletes who have just entered Year 1 and are only 7 years old.
For them, this was their very first official Taekwon-Do competition.
Their first time putting on a competition uniform,
their first time stepping onto an official competition stage,
their first time facing unfamiliar opponents,
and their first experience with the nerves and pressure of competition…
Yet, they bravely stepped forward. 🥋❤️
Among them:
🥇🥈 Edzer Tan Yi Zhe (7 years old)
In his very first competition, he achieved Gold in Individual Pattern + Silver in Individual Sparring! 🏆
🥉🥉 Ten Yee Yu (7 years old)
Also competing for the first time, she bravely earned Bronze in Individual Pattern + Bronze in Individual Sparring! 👏
🏅 Cheng Min Zuo (7 years old)
In his first official competition, although he did not receive a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal, his courage and effort were recognised with a Consolation Prize from the organisers. ❤️
For a 7-year-old stepping onto the competition stage for the very first time, having the courage to complete the competition, persevere until the end and receive recognition is already a precious achievement.
Medals may come in different colours,
but every child’s effort deserves to be seen and celebrated. ❤️
What we hope our children will remember is not only what medal they received today, but also:
“I was brave.
I gave my best.
I dared to step onto the competition stage.”
And that is where the most beautiful journey of growth begins. 🌱🥋✨
❤️ MEDALS ARE THE RESULTS. GROWTH IS THE REAL ACHIEVEMENT.
Gold deserves to be celebrated. 🥇
Silver deserves to be recognised. 🥈
Bronze deserves to be applauded. 🥉
And even those who did not receive a medal deserve to be proud of themselves.
Because every time they step onto the competition stage, they grow.
Every time they stay strong despite feeling nervous, they become braver.
Every time they choose to keep training after a setback, they become stronger.
Perhaps our children may not fully understand it today.
But years from now, when they look back, they may realise:
“When I was young, I once stood on that stage and dared to be brave.” ❤️
And that memory will always be something worth cherishing.

A small school may have a small team,

Last year, we brought home 13 medals.
This year, we brought home 23 medals.
But more precious than the number of medals is the growth we have witnessed in our children over the past one to two years.
From small, nervous little figures,
to young athletes who stand with greater confidence and determination.
From the nervousness of stepping onto the competition stage for the first time,
to having the courage to face challenges today.
That is the achievement we will cherish the most. ❤️
May our children continue to love Taekwon-Do,
continue to train hard,
and continue to challenge themselves bravely.
You do not have to win every time.
Just keep becoming a better version of yourself than you were yesterday.
