📅 23–27 August 2026
Five days. Two cities. One meaningful international learning experience!
The Department of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) successfully organised the Landscape Architecture Student Social Mobility Programme to Jakarta and Bogor, Indonesia, from 23 to 27 August 2026.
The programme brought together two academic staff members and seven Landscape Architecture students, providing an enriching international learning experience that combined academic exposure, social mobility, cultural exploration, urban landscapes, public spaces and institutional networking.
PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHT: ACADEMIC BENCHMARKING VISIT TO IPB UNIVERSITY
One of the key highlights of the programme was the Academic Benchmarking Visit to the Department of Landscape Architecture, IPB University, Bogor.
The visit served as an important platform for academic knowledge sharing and exchange between UMK and IPB University, particularly in areas such as academic programme and curriculum development, programme management, design studios, teaching and learning facilities, research, and opportunities for future academic collaboration and mobility.
The UMK students also had the opportunity to engage directly with academics and students from IPB University, gaining new perspectives on Landscape Architecture education, practice and professional development within the Indonesian and regional context.
