SEN Enrichment Care Centre

Our Pre-Vocational students had a meaningful outing focused on building independence and daily living skills. They took the bus ride, used their Touch ’n Go cards, and travelled to the mall as part of the learning experience. At the mall, students learned how to make purchases using a vending machine and practiced grocery shopping at the supermarket. It was a valuable hands-on experience that helped build confidence and real-life skills.

In conjunction with Autism Awareness Month, our students participated in a meaningful colouring project, expressing creativity while learning about acceptance and understanding. It was heartwarming to see their effort and unique perspectives come to life through their artwork.

Together, we continue to promote awareness, kindness, and inclusion for individuals on the autism spectrum. Wishing everyone greater awareness and acceptance always. 💙

On 11th & 13th April, our teachers participated in a training session focusing on sensory integration and the principles of behaviour management. The sessions provided valuable insights, practical strategies, and meaningful discussions to better support our students’ needs. It was a productive learning experience that strengthens our team’s skills and enhances our teaching practices.

Yesterday, we celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri with joy and togetherness, creating a truly festive and meaningful experience for both our students and teachers. The day was filled with laughter, engaging activities, and a warm spirit of celebration that brought everyone closer.

Before the Raya break, our Prevo students enjoyed an exciting train ride by taking the LRT. They also learned how to use a Touch ‘n Go card, gaining hands-on experience with public transportation and building important real-life skills. The outing was both fun and meaningful, giving students a chance to explore and learn beyond the classroom.

Last Friday, our teachers gathered for a wonderful Iftar outing to break fast together. Our Ampang teachers enjoyed their meal at Bhai Jim Jum, while our Rawang teachers gathered at BananaBro. The evening was filled with good food, laughter, and meaningful conversations, and we also celebrated one of our teacher’s birthday, making the gathering even more special 🌙✨

Our younger students took part in a fun Find the Difference Competition, where they carefully observed and identified differences between two pictures. This activity helped improve their focus, visual discrimination skills, and attention to detail while making learning enjoyable. Well done to all our participants for their great effort! 👏

Our teachers had an energetic and enjoyable badminton outing early this month, spending quality time together outside the classroom. The session was filled with friendly matches, laughter, and lots of movement on the court. It was a great way to stay active, relieve stress, and strengthen teamwork. Last week, our students went on an exciting outing to Petrosains, where they explored science through hands-on exhibits and interactive activities. We began the year with a two-day teacher training session, where we thoroughly reviewed the key expectations and procedures outlined in the Teacher Handbook specially developed for our centre. This training supports both the management team and teachers in aligning daily practices with the established guidelines, ensuring consistent implementation and strengthening professional competency across all classrooms.
