Tips for parents on how to keep your child safe during the new school term.
1. Make sure to supply them with ‘face masks’ to school.
2. Always remind them to practice social distancing and personal hygiene.
3. Consistently monitor their health status.
4. Immediately seek out further medical advice if any abnormal symptoms start to show.
5. Do not send them to school in the case of abnormal symptoms showing.
6. Report honest reason of absence, to the school.
7. Follow the regulations set by the school, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education for a safer environment for others.
8. Share this with those who needs it!

Top tips to support your child's mental wellbeing with their transition back to school
Going back to school can be pretty overwhelming and nerve-wrecking for some.
So here are a few tips to help prepare your child mentally on their first day, back to school.
1) Get your kids back to a healthy and consistent sleep routine immediately! (This means no more late-night binge-watching or gaming sessions..)
💡This could keep those "trouble sleeping" issues far away, and allow for optimum learning during those early class hours.
2) Look out for signs of distress!
💡Are they sleeping more than usual, more irritated these days or not acting like their usual selves? Try asking them why.. Maybe try cheering them up with a short hobby or prepare their favourite foods to help ease their tension and exam stress.
3) Make sure to hear their worries out, without judgment.
💡We all know what it's like to sit for one of those "life-changing" exams. However, it's rare, having sit for it whilst in a global pandemic! So be understanding about your child's situation and help motivate them to overcome their challenges instead of feeling helpless.
4) Instil a greater sense of purpose in them to attend school by showing an interest in their "after school" plans.
💡It always pays wonderfully to begin early plans to lay the foundations in the long run. You may need to provide some realistic input to keep their plans grounded though.
5) Support them with suggestive solutions rather than put them down because of their issues.
💡A child's basic support group is their parents. At the end of the day, they still look up to you for approval and satisfaction. The last thing you'd want is to rip the band out when your child is feeling their absolute worse.
🌞At the end of the day, care and emotional support are really all they need during their difficult times.
"In each day of our lives, we make deposits, in the memory banks of our children."
They may not remember exactly what you've said, but how you have made them feel cherished and through the examples that you have set out in their growing stages of life.
