π° AIU Strengthens Community Engagement Through The NEED Project
JITRA, 4 August 2026 β Albukhary International University (AIU), through the Centre of Reference (COR) AIU Library, successfully implemented The NEED Project, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at the Resource Centre of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pida Tiga, Tunjang, Kedah, on 27 and 28 July 2026.
The initiative brought together 50 AIU administrative staff and 8 students to transform and improve the schoolβs Resource Centre, creating a more conducive and welcoming learning environment for the school community.
Working together, participants reorganised furniture, optimised the available space, and arranged the book collection to improve accessibility and make the Resource Centre more user-friendly.
SK Pida Tiga was selected following an assessment that identified limited access to educational resources. With approximately 226 pupils, many of whom come from B40 families, the initiative aimed to contribute towards a better learning environment and greater access to educational resources.
Implemented through a shared responsibility approach involving AIU, the school, and the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG), The NEED Project strengthened community partnerships while fostering volunteerism and teamwork among AIU staff and students.
The NEED Project reflects AIUβs continued commitment to supporting education, strengthening community engagement, and creating meaningful and sustainable social impact.
