You select your dish: chile rellenos, different salsas, various types of enchiladas, potato tortas, tamales, fajitas, deep fried chicken tacos, rajas with cream, and much more... cooking- this is family cooking. Prices for classes vary from 450 pesos per person to 550 pesos per person, depending on food choices, ingredients required, and preparation time needed. Of course you eat what is prepared, so you need to bring your appetite, and you will be given a printed recipe to take home with you. As well Claudia offers tours of the mercado. The best time for this is 9am while selections are fresh and it isn't too hot. The cost for market tours is 300 pesos per person. Tours normally take approximately one and a half hours. It is possible to do a market tour by itself, or also followed by a cooking class. Most people choose the market tour followed by a cooking class at Claudia's home, enjoying the cultural experience of being welcomed into a Mexican family home, as well as the cooking class.
