Akbal is a research center dedicated to fostering theatrical performance art, with the main objective of achieving high quality performances from the personal process understanding and improvement. To build the personal project and group development there is the need of the principles of dramatic structure and character design, all with the goal of creating the actor´s performance, resulting in a visual structure design with respect to a story in dramatic terms. The creative actor involves an awareness of his responsibility involved in the freedom of personal process, irrespective of the different theater experiences in which they participate. Akbal was born in late 1998, in the city of Xalapa, being fellow of the FONCA (National Fund for the Culture and the Arts) by September 1998. In 2000, a grant for the second consecutive year by the FONCA, basic training titled El actor como creador del espectáculo escénico (The Actor as Creator of Scenic Spectacle) which worked in the language of the Clown, and in other hand developed tools in dramatic terms and character construction. Currently Akbal is developing a training-workshop with the main objective of proposing the body manifestations as the principal scenic language. Although there had been performances with this language, at this moment, Akbal is working to the physical theater. Akbal members:

Abstract: Akbal Centro de Investigación Escénica ( Akbal Research and Integration Center Art) performances
Since 1996, Marla Espinosa has been working in Xalapa, Ver. In 1998 she created Akbal Centro de Investigación Escénica. The Center had been fellow for the FONCA (Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes) and for two state grants from Fondo Estatal Para la Cultura y las Artes de Veracruz. Akbal has presented a large list of performances based, mainly in corporal language and clown training.
