Beyond EOL Planning

Some of the most important decisions people make are never explained- only documented. Good planning involves both.

When you have young children, some decisions feel too big to even know where to start. Like wha would happen to your children if something were to happen to you.

So it stays in the background… unfinished.

But not everything needs to be figured out.

There are a few key things that create direction for the people around your children, and help this feel more settled for you as well.

This is the kind of clarity If Something Happens to Me is designed to support. 🔗 Link in bio.

Most parents of young children believe the important things are clear.

But many of those decisions only live in our heads.

When something unexpected happens, families are often left trying to interpret intentions, assumptions, and half-formed plans during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Planning isn’t just about naming people or writing things down.

It’s about thinking things through clearly, and making sure the people around your children understand what matters most to you.

This is the work behind If Something Happens to Me, a guide designed to help parents of young children think through the decisions that matter most while there’s still time to do it calmly and intentionally.

It’s live.

If Something Happens to Me is a guided workbook for parents of young children who want clarity around what would happen if something unexpected happened to them.

Inside, you’ll work through:

– Who would raise your children
– What financial support exists now
– Who would speak for you medically
– Which legal documents give those decisions authority

This isn’t about fear.
It’s about direction.

By the end, you’ll have a written record of your decisions and a clear understanding of what needs to be formally documented.

What we avoid has a way of deciding things for us. In life, in relationships, and eventually in legacy.

What a special night celebrating Ms. Suzan Crane.
Living in Tulum keeps reminding me of something I care deeply about in my work: community and even family aren’t built by sameness, they’re built by sharing space and stories across generations.

So grateful for this community and everyone who made the night special. Mindy for the decor, Golboo for helping plan, Sariela for her beautiful voice and presence, and the incredible Aflora team.
It really felt like family.

Different ages, different lives, one shared table.
That’s where trust forms. That’s where real conversations become possible.

A lot of people think regret is about what you didn’t do.

In my experience, it’s more often about what you didn’t say.
The conversations you kept postponing.
The clarity you meant to get to “later.”
The love you felt but never articulated in a way someone else could hold.

Living well isn’t just about bold moves or beautiful moments.
It’s about reducing the emotional debris you leave behind, for yourself and for the people who love you.

Living without regret doesn’t mean having no fear.
It means having fewer unfinished sentences.

This is the heart of my work: helping people create space for the conversations that actually matter, before time, illness, or crisis decides the timing for you.

Because preparation isn’t about death.
It’s about living and loving with less unsaid.
