The Cave Training Series is now live!

It's been a busy year producing the Cave Series, but now it is finally here!

The Cave Training Series has over 260 lessons and over 41 hours of video spread across three separate courses - Intro to Cave Diver, Full Cave Diver and Cave Instructor Series.

Our Cave Series is in Post-production, and we are now making General Guidance material and answering Frequently Asked Questions.

Spaces are now available on SDI - Scuba Diving International TDI Full Cave Diver Courses running,

October 28th to October 25th 2025.

November 4th to November 8th 2025.

The courses are in Mexico (Tulum), run from Third Dimension Diving and are open to all certified Intro to Cave (or equivalent) divers.

A slightly more philosophical post this time after finishing a Side Mount Scuba Diving - Steve Martin Essentials Course this week.

The divers made great progress and put in a lot of effort to do so.

It reminded me of all the lessons I've been taught - and sometimes from very unlikely sources. In my "city boy" days, I had to take an early morning taxi before the trains were running. I was chatting to the driver, asking about his work hours and why they were so long. He told me that they have a saying where he was from,

"The more sugar you put in, the sweeter the tea."

This is so true of anything you set out to do - you get out what you put in, and so it pays to work towards your goals. I really loved the poetic take on that thought.

I take this lesson to heart every time I teach and put in as much work myself to get the best out of the time I have with divers in training. For the divers, they improve their skills and abilities, and for me, I get to watch that and be part of it 😊

One space is now available on a TDI Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures Course running from June 26th to 3rd July 2025.

The course will run in Gozo (Malta) from Atlantis Diving Centre and is open to all certified Intro to Tec (or higher) divers – previous Sidemount diving experience is essential.

An additional space is available for an SDI - Scuba Diving International Instructor Candidate.

Decompression diving is a great way to experience what diving in Gozo and Malta has to offer!

One space is now available on a Side Mount Scuba Diving - Steve Martin Sidemount Essentials course running from 9th to 13th June 2025.

The course will run in Gozo (Malta) from Atlantis Diving Centre and is open to all certified Advanced Open Water (or higher) divers – previous Sidemount diving experience is not required 😊

An additional space is available for an SDI - Scuba Diving International Sidemount Instructor Candidate.

Diver level certifications can be earned from Tdi-Sdi Malta

Full Sidemount Equipment can be provided, making this a great way to experience what all the fuss is about!
