Summer '2013
April. Hard time until October. A bit less teaching, at least at ground level for plain student audience, but much more knowledge sharing while attending conferences.
The Fobos-Grunt probe finally re-entered the atmosphere. The mission is over but, alas, without fulfilling its purpose. There has been, however, a good deal of hard work and cooperation. Thanks to all involved. Hopefully another atttempt follows.

A lot of my work in the Fobos-Grunt space mission eventually may become wasted effort.
"As of 22 November 2011, attempts to establish connection with the probe have been unsuccessful. If the probe is not restarted by late November, it will miss the launch window and it will be no longer possible for it to reach the Martian system (the probe is not expected to survive until the next launch window, which will open in two years). Roscosmos spokesman admitted on 22 November that chances of rescuing the mission were very slim."

It's been another busy week. Lots of inspiring talks and a successful speech in Stockholm.
