Taxalians on this sunday night i have traced a gem from Australia to introduce with you,i dont want to put myself on trial by describing him lets heare to him,, ;)

My name is Rizwan Afzal and graduated back in 2008 in Civil Engineering and since then I have been working as Structural Engineer on various Oil and Gas projects. I moved to Australia about an year ago where I am doing my masters in Offshore engineering. Very recently a PhD program sponsored by Shell on one of its FLNG vessels has attracted me and I am trying to convince my coordinators that I am their best choice (fingers crossed).

Q.What is the most beautiful place which you still remember in UET Taxila...?
Ans:
Speaking in terms of aesthetic beauty there are various examples of modern and classical architecture but the fact I liked most about visible beauty of UET was its location. The life hanging between gloom stricken dead quiet rainy winter nights and jubilant tumultuous bright sunny days was beautiful.

Q. what is your best memory in this University?
Ans:
Cutting it down one particular memory would be difficult but in my effort to quantify the nostalgia I miss living in UET Hostels more than anything else. Hostel life has so positively contributed in grooming and shaping me up. It beveled all my edges in terms of dealing personal and interpersonal matters.

Q. Who was your best friend in UET which you still miss?
Ans: I made a lot of friends in Uni and most of them are still my very good friends which probably speaks of the iron nerves they have to take the pain of being my friends and this makes them best of the very best.

Q. who is your favrit personality in UET(it must not from faculty but from students).. ?
ans. haha. I dont know her name but she was adorable

Q. Which was your enjoyment in UET Taxila, you miss ?
Ans: this question has sparked a chain reaction in generating a list of things which I enjoyed there. But there are few I would like to mention. Walking back to hostel room in company of friends after a stroll with nipped fingers in those frosty nights and having the luxury of uninterrupted electric supply courtesy the honeymoon days of General Pervez Musharaf era who had probably misunderstood us as bunch of scientists working on some very sensitive project and any shortage of electric supply would harm severely harm the nation. And we would use that electricity to watch all new releases of box office with full dedication.

Q. what is your hobby..??
ans.. I like reading books and covering geopolitics in my spare time through newspapers and magazine and blogs.

Q. what is your favorite destination where you would love to travel..??
Ans. I would actually like to become foursquare Champion who would have visited every nook and corner of the world. My favorite destination would certainly constitute a water body so essentially it will be somewhere on a beach. I would love to see myself in Hawaii on some secluded beach reclining on a hammock while sipping coconut water and gazing at all the beautiful creatures of this planet earth.

Q. your favorite dish, color and weather...?
Ans.. I am not fussy about food. Anything when I am hungry. And I like dark colors and winters.

Q. what is your definition of love and friendship.. ?
ans. There are so many definitions on this subject and everyone represents a particular emotion in regards to love and those tender feelings. This phenomenon cannot be contained in few words. However the best thing which I liked about it myself was to "feel brave enough to stand up against all the monsters to kick in their butts for someone and at the same time feeling so vulnerable to cry like baby with the fear of losing someone."

Q. your favorite books..??
Ans. There is a very long list but there is tie between War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy and A tale of two cities by Charles Dickens.

Q. what improvements you will suggest in UET TAXILA on academic and social grounds.??
Ans. There are so many things of which the linkage with the industry would be the best way to start with and coming up with innovative ideas according to local conditions.

Q.one thing you like the most and dislike the most in UET Taxila.?
Ans.. The good thing about UET is getting world class engineering degree on very subsidized fees which is almost free on global relative scale. And one thing which I would like to see not happening in Uni is the biased behavior of administration based on Gender specially female and going easy on people who have strong inclination towards religion.

Q. tell us about your wish which you would love to see fulfilled while being here in UET/or after that..??
ans.. I would love to see someone from UET Alumni preferably myself becoming secretary general of United Nations.

Q. What would be your advices to the present sessions of UET Taxila as an Elder Brother?
Ans: Value all your relationships and friends in Uni. Your coursework is very important but not everything that will earn you success. Think about the bigger picture in terms of competing the whole world when you walk out of those walls after graduation. You have to represent your country throughout the world and correct its image.

Ans. "Dust thou art, to dust returnest,"
