Welcome to Slanguage School! This week’s word: ‘Bodenlos‘✨
“Bodenlos” is a popular German youth slang term. Literally, it means “bottomless,” but in everyday use it describes something extremely bad, outrageous, or unacceptable, like when someone’s behavior or a situation is just too much.
Example:
A: “He ate my food without asking.”
B: “That’s so bodenlos!”
If you’re a young learner, we have specially-tailored courses and supports on offer, which are a great way to build your skills and confidence in German. Check out when our next round of courses for young learners begins at the link below.
