David Bender Public Competition — Qualifiers
What a tremendous display of oratory from our junior class! They upheld a proud tradition of powerful public speaking, tackling subjects as varied as Alexander the Great, living with purpose, and patriotism. The entire school community came together to welcome and cheer them on — and what a joy it was to watch these young men and women truly come into their own, stepping forward with remarkable aplomb.
That is Harkness' greatest gift: the confidence to try.

🥈 Silver Medal — Infomatrix Nacional 2025
We are incredibly proud to announce that three Harkness students brought home a silver medal at the Infomatrix Nacional competition in Estado de México!
Sofía G., Renée G., and Ximena B., guided by their advisor Cecilia Garibay, presented "Más allá de la pantalla: Cómo el invento de Hedy Lamarr impactó la era digital" — an animation project designed to spread awareness of Hedy Lamarr's scientific and technological contributions, and to inspire new generations of young women to pursue careers in STEAM.
Congratulations to these remarkable students and to their teacher Cecilia Garibay for their hard work and dedication. Continuing the tradition of Harkness excellence. 🌟
