It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the Advanced Defense Materials symposia (Symposium F1), within the framework of the 31st International Materials Research Congress organized by the Materials Research Society (MRS) together with the International Conference on Advanced Materials (ICAM). The congress will take place in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico, at the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa and Marriott Cancun Resort, from August 13-18, 2023. The advanced defense materials symposia will focus on the design, synthesis, integration, development and application of new materials, processes and methodologies to address defense application needs, with primary topic areas including:
AI/machine learning towards materials development, manufacturing, application, and operation.
Advanced Manufacturing (additive manufacturing, thermal spraying,
Emerging concepts in metamaterials, wide bandgap semiconductors, and energy.

Biotechnology/synthetic biology
