Over the years I’ve connected with people from all over the world through ibogaine, recovery, harm reduction, and neuroscience. What started as a small WhatsApp chat with just 5 people has organically grown into a group of 300+ individuals sharing information, experiences, research, questions, and support in real time.
The group includes people at all stages of the journey — from those simply curious about ibogaine, to experienced facilitators, clinicians, researchers, and people actively trying to rebuild their lives.
One thing I’ve learned is that education and community matter. A lot of people are navigating addiction, trauma, withdrawal, post-acute withdrawal, nervous system dysregulation, and major life transitions with very little guidance or support. Having access to real conversations and lived experience can make a huge difference.
We discuss topics like:

I was listening to a podcast about a healing center that uses mushrooms, and one of the aspects they described was how they brought people together to share their stories. That storytelling, that connection, was a core part of the healing process, because it helped everyone come from a place of understanding and compassion. I want to do something similar, but with ibogaine. After a flood dose, I think creating a safe, supportive space where people can share their journeys, where we listen with compassion and without judgment, can be a powerful part of recalibration and healing.
This morning, watching the sunrise on the beach in Playa del Carmen with Caroline, dreaming about our Sunday tradition—heading to the Tianguis market where fresh veggies and treasures are half off. Grateful for these slow mornings and simple joys.
