We take you to where others don't, that is into the Oaxacan hinterland, and perhaps into the fields, to speak with, photograph, sample and learn from family members who make artisanal mezcal, using clay pot distillation, traditional copper stills, and a hybrid between hand-crafted and industrial (if that interests you). The object is to teach and show you as many stages of production as practicabl
e, to sample at least a dozen different mezcals, as well as pulque. If photography or making a documentary is your passion, or you are interested in beginning a mezcal import business, let us know and we'll accommodate you in this respect as well. We can arrange to take you out into the fields with a Zapotec family to participate in the harvesting of aguamiel used to ferment into pulque. Email for further details including price, our qualifications and verbatim testimonials from clients who have participated in our mezcal educational excursions.
