I am IELTS was built to help students hone their specific IELTS skills, as well as teachers wishing to acquire more familiarity and confidence with the ins and outs of IELTS to be more professionally able to prepare their students for the exam. Courses: These will help you work your way through the theory you need in the four parts of the exam (Writing, Reading, Listening, Speaking), Teacher Training courses to help teachers teach the four skills better, and an IELTS Advanced Grammar and Vocabulary course, all accompanied by practice exercises and an answer key in each module. Using the materials will allow you to progress at your own speed, do the tasks whenever you feel ready, check the correct answers, and draw your learning conclusions. In some cases you might even decide to redo parts of a module if needed. You might decide to buy select modules of a genre (i.e descriptive report, academic essay or letters), if you feel you are on quite a high level already with your different writing sub-skills for both genres of your chosen exam type (essay and letter for the general module, or essay and descriptive report for the academic) and only need help with a few aspects of your writing. If you do a whole course step by step, you will have a more thorough, step-by-step learning experience, as the modules logically build onto one and other, as well as our written feedback and Skype tutorials onto the concepts you will have learned in the courses. Written feedback: Since it is practically impossible to improve a productive language skills (i.e speaking and writing) without constructive expert feedback, you might want to buy some writing feedback as well. It is recommended that you sign up for the package of your choosing after you have gone through the modules or the whole course on the genre that you do not feel confident about and/or that you already failed earlier and need help with. Skype tutorials: Some candidates feel that they learn better if they get to discuss their problems and questions with their trainer ‘live’ as well. If you are one of these people, you also have the opportunity to buy Skype feedback session packages. They are typically useful if you have already a, done the course(s) you need, and b, written and received written feedback on your work from us. During these sessions you get to discuss the comments that are either not completely clear for your the written feedback on your work, or that you would simply like to go through ‘in person’ as well to enhance your learning. Blog: On top of the core material in the courses, every Friday you will find lots of free new content on the site including further useful preparation and language learning tips and exercises with an answer key, focusing on various sub-skills not dealt with in depth in the core course modules.
