Concluyó la estancia de nuestros elementos del programa Delfín 🐬. Realmente, Julián, María José y Vismar, demostraron tener habilidades para realizar investigación (creatividad, resiliencia, tenacidad). Cada uno con un proyecto individual que los llevó a vivir y sobrellevar diferentes etapas. Los 3 revisaron literatura, realizaron diseños computacionales, experimentación mecánica, y análisis de resultados. Los resultados obtenidos son de alto valor y nivel, estamos seguros que lograrán muchas cosas buenas.

Estuvieron acompañados de un grupo de asesoría que incluyó a estudiantes de doctorado experimentados como Kenia, Gus y Víctor, al Dr Mario Mtz (Postdoc) y al Dr K**e Cuan.

International conference participation 🗺️ , is not only a chance to show off, but to be next to some of the most keen researchers in our field.
Some of our lab member (current and former) had their chance to present their research in an international forum 📈

Our participation in the 6th International Conference on Materials Design and Applications, was held in Porto, 🇵🇹 and it included the participation of:

1. Romane Mangenot presented “Rational circle-based cubic Bezier Metamaterials: Synthesis, mechanics and additive”
2. Laurin Mairle presented “Mechanical characterization of additively manufactured functionally graded structures under twist”
3. Diana Ramírez presented “Flexural properties of functionally graded beams: design through mathematical parametrization and experimentalcharacterization”

Congrats to our team, and special mention to Diana (PhD candidate) who had a revelant participation in the 3 works submitted and Dr K**e Cuan for being part of the scientific committee.

We are very very happy to share that we have managed to unlocked an achievement!
A book about metamaterials and additive manufacturing, has just been published by Elsevier and it includes two chapters in which we have contributed!
The book bas edited by renowned academics and the list of contributors (chapter authors) is full of big names in the field! we are confident enough that such achievement puts us closer to the big leagues in the magical planet of mechanical metamaterials and additive manufacturing!

Kudos to the meta-team that included various personalities i.e. Albert, Majo, Diana, Angel, LD, Armando and K**eCuan.
