Beneath the waves, the story deepens. The Bering Strait marks the meeting point of the Eurasian Plate and the North American Plate, relics of a time when Asia and North America were connected by an Ice Age land bridge. Today, this frozen channel is a climate change frontline, a geopolitical chokepoint (just 85 km between Russia and mainland Alaska), and a temporal landmark where you can truly say, “I’m in today, and I can see yesterday.”
