We are thrilled to finally offer a daily Tiny Explorers schedule in Polanco!

🌱 Tiny Explorers is a learning program for our youngest students (ages 1–3), filled with nature, free play, exploration, art, music, stories, and sensory experiences—all in English!

🐌 We’ve created an intimate outdoor space where little ones can move, discover, play, and develop independence at their own pace.

⏰ The flexible format allows Tiny Explorers to work as an enrichment activity or a preschool/daycare-style schedule, with or without a caretaker. We also offer an additional hour of care before or after the playgroup.

IT’S HERE!!!! One year after starting our Mini Forest Preschool we are thrilled to announce the opening of a new, full-week option in a magical, private garden in Polanco. As always, our mornings will revolve around child-led play in nature as we aim to maintain the flexibility of our current preschool classes, while offering a bit more structure and consistency. We can’t wait for you to join us!! 🌼🌿🐝

As long as children have been on this planet, nature has provided all the early stimulation their developing bodies and minds need. Yet somewhere on the path to overcomplicating childhood we started believing that early stimulation looks like a plastic-filled gymboree?

It’s time to get back to our roots! Nature is enough. Play is enough.

Summer Camp is off to a sweet start! At our visit to ECTAREA the campers learned about birds of prey and met them up close! Back in the forest Miss Jade invited them to make bird masks and nests, which led to great play ideas and exploration. And of course, Water Friday is just the best!

I attended the NAAEE conference to bring back insight, tools and practices for Curious Kids…what I gained was much more important. It’s been 3 weeks since the conference and I’ve noticed a subtle shift in my mindset. Over those 3 days at the conference, I was reminded that Curious Kids is a small piece of a huge, worldwide movement to restore children’s connection to nature and their right to free play. Listening to the journeys of other educators reinvigorated my “why”. Now, in the moments when I’m called “just a hippy gringa in the forest,” I have the knowing that there is a revolution happening and my small contribution is a part of that. In the moments that feel like I’m not doing enough (which is almost always), I will remember that all of our “not enoughs” add up to big change.
