Use do not or does not + the base for of the verb to make a negative statement.
Use the contractions don’t and doesn’t in speaking and informal writing.
Ex.: They live in Mexico. / He lives in Mexico. (They do live in Mexico.) * in positive-present sentences you can add “do” in front of verbs to emphasize.
They do not live in Mexico. / He Does not live in Mexico.
We did our homework yesterday.
We didn’t work with them.
