COMEXUS Fulbright-García Robles

Yesterday marked the beginning of a two-week collaboration at ITAM with Dr. John Dobson, Fulbright Specialist and founder of the DYME Institute. Over the next two weeks, Dr. Dobson will be working with ITAM faculty and students, Fulbright-García Robles grantees, and representatives from businesses, sharing expertise on entrepreneurship education, experiential learning, and cross-border business practices.

This visit is part of Freedom 250, a milestone we are marking through the work that defines us: building meaningful connections between people from both countries.

In 2026, the United States celebrates 250 years of independence and commemorates this milestone with Freedom 250, a moment to reflect on the enduring partnerships built between nations, and to look ahead toward a shared future of cooperation.

Grateful to have completed the Visiting Fulbright Professional Grant Development Workshop—8 hours fully focused on one thing that can transform ideas into impact: funding with purpose.

But here’s the real insight 👇
Getting funds is not just about writing a “good proposal”…
It’s about co-creating value across borders, disciplines, and communities.

💡 What clicked for me:
Funding today ≠ solo genius → it’s network intelligence
The strongest proposals are not projects → they are ecosystems
Impact is no longer local → it’s glocal (global + local roots)

🌱 So what’s next?
I’m moving into a co-creation phase:
Building bridges between 🇲🇽 Mexico and 🇺🇸 US
Connecting ancestral wisdom + emerging tech
Designing projects around wellbeing, sustainability, and human-centered innovation

Creating initiatives that don’t just win grants…
…but actually restore trust, empower communities, and shape future leaders.
