¡Nunca combines "How" y "Like" en la misma pregunta! 🛑🎨🇬🇧
(Never combine "How" and "Like" in the same question!)
Mezclar how y like ("How does it look like?") es uno de los errores más comunes al pedir descripciones físicas.
(Mixing "how" and "like" is one of the most common mistakes when asking for physical descriptions.)
Aquí tienes las 2 únicas combinaciones correctas:
(Here are the 2 only correct combinations:)
📍 1. WHAT + DOES IT LOOK LIKE? (Usa "like" al final)
(WHAT + DOES IT LOOK LIKE? - Uses "like" at the end)
Ejemplo: What does your new house look like? 🏠
Traducción: ¿Cómo es / A qué se parece tu nueva casa?
(Translation: What does your new house look like?)
📍 2. HOW + DOES IT LOOK? (NO lleva "like")
(HOW + DOES IT LOOK? - Does NOT take "like")
Ejemplo: How does my new haircut look? 💇‍♂️
Traducción: ¿Qué tal se ve / Cómo luce mi nuevo corte de cabello?
(Translation: How does my new haircut look?)
💡 Resumen ultra simple:
• WHAT exige LIKE al final.
• HOW va solo, SIN LIKE.

(When you want to say "I wish I had..." or "I wish I hadn't..." about something in the past, you must use Past Perfect.)
📍 Fórmula de arrepentimiento pasado:
Subject + WISH + Subject + HAD / HADN'T + Participio
(Formula: Subject + WISH + Subject + HAD / HADN'T + Past Participle)
Mira estos ejemplos de la vida real:
(Look at these real-life examples:)

2️⃣ Arrepentimiento negativo (Ojalá NO lo hubiera hecho):

¡Corrige la frase "At the end of the day"! 🛑⏳🇬🇧
(Fix the phrase "At the end of the day"!)
Para decir "al final de cuentas" o "a fin de cuentas", cambiar la preposición at por in es un error muy común.
(To say "at the end of the day", changing the preposition "at" to "in" is a very common mistake.)
Aquí tienes las estructuras correctas:
(Here are the correct structures:)
📍 1. "At the end of the day..." = Al final de cuentas / En última instancia
(AT THE END OF THE DAY = Ultimately / When all is considered)
Ejemplo: At the end of the day, family is what matters most. ❤️
Traducción: Al final de cuentas, la familia es lo que más importa.
(Translation: At the end of the day, family is what matters most.)
📍 2. "In the end..." = Finalmente / Al final (Sin "of the day")
(IN THE END = Finally / Eventually - Without "of the day")
Ejemplo: We tried hard, and in the end, we succeeded. 🏆
Traducción: Nos esforzamos mucho y, al final, tuvimos éxito.
(Translation: We tried hard, and in the end, we succeeded.)

¡El error gramatical más común al cerrar correos en inglés! 📧💼🇬🇧
(The most common grammar error when closing emails in English!)
Usar look forward to es excelente para sonar elegante, pero casi todos cometen el error de no poner -ING en el verbo siguiente.
(Using "look forward to" is great for sounding polite, but almost everyone makes the mistake of not putting -ING on the following verb.)
📍 Fórmula obligatoria:
LOOK FORWARD TO + Verbo -ING / Sustantivo
(Formula: LOOK FORWARD TO + Verb -ING / Noun)
En esta frase, to es una preposición, por lo que el verbo siguiente exige -ING.
(In this phrase, "to" is a preposition, so the following verb requires -ING.)
Mira los ejemplos correctos:

❌ Incorrecto: I look forward to meet you.
✅ Correcto: I look forward to meeting you. 🤝

(Borrow or Lend? Learn the direction trick!)
Ambos verbos tratan sobre prestar cosas, pero la dirección de la acción es totalmente opuesta.
(Both verbs deal with lending things, but the direction of the action is completely opposite.)

(BORROW = To take/receive temporarily - Direction: towards you)
Ejemplo: Can I borrow your car tomorrow? 🚗
Traducción: ¿Puedo tomar prestado tu coche mañana?
(Translation: Can I borrow your car tomorrow?)
📍 2. LEND = Prestar / Dar prestado (Sale de ti hacia otro)

This is the real reason your English sentence structure sounds slightly off when asking for someone’s opinion: you are translating the Spanish phrase ¿cómo piensas sobre...? word for word into how do you think about. In English, when you want to ask someone for their view, opinion, or feedback on a topic, you must use what, not how. The two correct and natural ways to ask are What do you think about this proposal? or What are your thoughts on this idea?. You only use how with the verb think when asking about the mental process or manner of thinking itself—for example, How do you think under pressure?. Switching from how to what when requesting opinions will instantly polish your conversational accuracy.

Simplifica tus oraciones condicionales con "Unless" 🚫💡🇬🇧
(Simplify your conditional sentences with "Unless")
La palabra unless significa "a menos que" o "si no", e incluye una negación en su propio significado.
(The word "unless" means "except if" or "if not", and includes a negation within its own meaning.)
📍 Fórmula obligatoria:
UNLESS + Verbo Afirmativo
(Formula: UNLESS + Affirmative Verb)
Como unless ya niega la condición, el verbo que le sigue DEBE ir en afirmativo (evita la doble negación).
(Since "unless" already negates the condition, the following verb MUST be in affirmative - avoid double negatives.)
Compara estos dos ejemplos:
(Compare these two examples:)
🔹 Forma común (If not):
If you don't hurry, you will be late.
Traducción: Si no te apuras, llegarás tarde.
(Translation: If you don't hurry, you will be late.)
🌟 Forma fluida (Unless):
Unless you hurry, you will be late. 🏃‍♂️
