Seems I haven’t been sharing from IG for a while. My bad. Lagoon sight fishing is still crazy good. Yesterday Bibi and I went on a fun float midday in broad daylight. Massive highlight was watching an enormous Cuberra Snapper swipe at Bibjs lure no more than 20’ from the boat in shallow clear water. Actually glad it didn’t hook up. No surprise the Snook on that spot had lock jaw! In that sane lagoon around 24 years ago I watched one swallow my clients 4-5lb Snook with nothing left hanging out its mouth!

Today we crushed the Cichlids! (Could have fed the whole family), boated 3 small Tarpon, missed a good Snook eat and had 2 BIG Snook follow to the boat with no commitment.
Winning flies were the Chartreuse n green toad and the weightless Albino both in 1/0.

Spin fishing charter with the visiting MSC cruise line today. Great fun with a father and son team from Houston. More than 20 eats. 8 jumped or so to 15lb. 2-4 on Snook plus a Bay Snook to complete the “lagoon slam”!
The lures in the purple box caught both Snook, all lures in the photo were eaten.

Yesterday was the maiden voyage of our new skiff to fish the Oceanside flats and beaches on the calm days. We’ve got a perfect natural boat ramp a short drive from town launching on to good water and a 10 minute drive from our favourite beach flats.
Just got to get the motor sorted and this option will be available when the weather permits.
Thanks to Mark and Bibi for all the help yesterday. Mark brought the first couple of fish onboard to christen the boat caught casting floating crab flies around the sargasso.

November has become a favourite time amongst my regular guests and always books up fast. One of my groups just dropped out for the above dates, I’ll sell them one by one, no need to book them all.
November is so popular as more Tarpon are inshore after the fall rains and it’s not uncommon to get 20-30 grabs per day.
If anyone’s interested in grabbing a day or two during these dates then send me a message.
