A way into English

As a teenager I didn’t think English could make my life any better, I didn’t like it, my classes at school were too boring but my dad always insisted that I had to learn English. In those days English didn’t seem to be that important, but when I started high school and started learning IN English: Science, Math, History, Literature, etc., everything changed. After that, knowing English became a thumbstone in my professional and personal life. I kept learning, at work and at school. I decided to take a Teacher’s training course and I loved a class where we created our own audio visual resources, hand.made, it took a lot of time and pleasure doing that, lots of creativity too. When I decided to devote my time to teaching, I found that I definitely had to update what I had learnt in those days, my materials worked fine and so did my classes, but technology developments changed everything. So here I am, using technology available to try to motivate my students to use English in real life, to share experiences, to make comments, to find resources that help them improve their learning. I can’t quantify how much I have achieved that goal, but what I know is that from doing all the research I do to share new ways and resources with my students, I have learnt a lot!
