The 2026 Habla Teacher Institute is an invitation to educators of all disciplines to rediscover the tactile side of learning. Under this year’s theme, Lost Words, we are putting down the screens and picking up paint, stone, wood, and thread—not as “crafts,” but as tools to recover our students’ attention. 

Over five days through a project-based learning lens, you will explore how to design interdisciplinary classrooms that bridge the gap between their lived worlds and creative potential.

Whether you’re in K-12 education or higher ed, and whether you teach science, art, or humanities, we invite you to come learn by doing, and rediscover the creative heart of your profession.

Muros Sin Fronteras es una experiencia artística binacional donde jóvenes de Mérida y Chicago se encuentran para explorar el muralismo, el arte urbano, la identidad y la comunidad a través del arte colaborativo.

En este espacio, las y los estudiantes crearán sus propias obras inspiradas en el graffiti, el muralismo mexicano, el stencil y artistas urbanos contemporáneos. Lo más bonito: lo harán mientras intercambian ideas con jóvenes de otra cultura.

A través de retratos a gran escala, narrativas visuales y murales colectivos, los y las participantes descubrirán cómo el arte es el puente perfecto para conectar comunidades, compartir historias y, sobre todo, romper fronteras.

That’s exactly why we created the English Conversation Club. This is a space to refresh your skills, connect with other advanced speakers, and find your natural voice under the guidance of ESL expert Diane Grondin.
