The main reason your English isn't improving as fast as you want it to improve is that you aren't working as hard or as much as you need to work.

Learning a language is a fairly simple process, and the more effort you give, the more you will improve. It's impossible to study hard, practice speaking every day, and not improve.

But most people are giving 10-60% effort and then comparing themselves to the people who give 80-100% effort.

You don't master something by doing it a little bit or just doing it when you feel like doing it.

You don't master something by complaining that you don't have a partner, complaining that you don't have time, or making other excuses.

You master something by seriously committing yourself to it, making it a part of your daily routine, doing the difficult things that you don't enjoy doing, and doing it even when you don't feel like doing it.

I'm not saying that all of you need to do all of those things to learn English.

But if you want to master English, especially if you want to master it in only a few years, you need to understand that it is going to require a lot of effort.

I know you've seen people selling courses that promise that you will be fluent in just one year, so lots of you have crazy ideas in your head about how quickly you will learn English or how easy it will be.

Get those ideas out of your head.

If you aren't attending classes with a teacher for several hours per day or using the language in real life for several hours per day, learning a language in a short period of time is going to be incredibly challenging, and it is going to take a lot of effort.

If you don't need to improve quickly, just relax, enjoy the process, and stop complaining/making yourself feel bad.
