April felt like coming back to life. ✨

The first bloodroot, wild ramps in my hands, violets everywhere you look… every year it feels like catching up with old friends that I’ve missed all winter.

This season always reminds me that good food starts way before the plate. It starts here. Outside.

I’m so ready for a summer of eating well, playing outside, and following the land wherever it wants to take us. 💛

Also finally made it to , it was the highlight of April for me. It’s beautiful, thoughtful, it feels like you’re walking into a Pinterest board. The owners are deeply charming and so knowledgeable. Now that I know it’s there, they’re going to have to lock those door on me because it’s officially going to be my new hangout spot.

I cannot wait to spend May playing outside and eating my way across Ontario 🌱

One of my favorite things about foraging is that it doesn’t just connect you to food, it connects you to the land.

These ramps only return for a brief window each spring, and coming back to them each year always makes me reflect on where I am, what’s changed, and what is growing around me and within me. This first episode of my spring foraging series is really about that relationship: how paying attention to the land can deepen the way we pay attention to ourselves.

Fitting that I’m sharing it on Earth Day. 🌿 A small reminder that connection to place isn’t abstract, it can be as simple as learning what grows around you and moving through it with more care.

Have you ever had a landscape or season make you reflect on your own life?

Have you ever witnessed someone doing what they were put on this earth to do? The energy they give off is so healing. By putting themselves out there and creating, bringing forward their art, they offer so much good medicine to everyone lucky enough to witness them.

Watching DJ at is a new core memory for me. Everyone on the dance floor was taken aback by how great she is. All I could hear around me were people saying things like, “She just gets the energy!” and “I could dance to her forever.” Even when we were walking home, people stopped her on the street to tell her how she created such a fun, warm, and inviting space to dance. I just can’t get over the magic she weaved simply by following her gut and putting herself out there to do what she is meant to do.

So if there is something you feel like you’re meant to be doing, go do it. You won’t just heal yourself, you’ll bring that love and joy into the world around you.

There’s a version of this journey that’s all pressure.
And there’s a version that’s built to last.

I used to think needing this much care and routine meant I was doing something wrong.

Like if I couldn’t just push through, stay focused, and “lock in” without all of it… I wasn’t disciplined enough. As if I could magically just make myself out of thin air be tougher to get through.

But now… I see it completely differently.

I actually feel so much joy in it.

The Pilates.
The breathwork.
Taking care of my immune system.
Even the quiet rituals that help me come back to myself.

It’s not extra.
It’s what allows me to fully show up.

It’s how I create the mental and emotional space to focus on the things that matter and to become the version of me that can actually achieve these goals.

Lately, I’ve been realizing how much of doing something hard has very little to do with the big moment…
and everything to do with the life you build around it.

It really is all about the small pieces.
The quiet consistency.
The way you take care of yourself along the way.

This is Episode 2 of Learning to Fly (Again), a gentle series about doing hard things.

If you’re building something that requires care, not just pressure… you’re in the right place.
