Today 29th of Tevet is the hilula🕯️of Rav Yitzchak Kaduri ✡️. Rav Kaduri was one of the greatest and most revered Sephardic kabbalists of the modern era, known for his extraordinary holiness, humility, and lifelong devotion to Torah and the hidden teachings of Kabbalah. Born in Baghdad in 1898, he later moved to Eretz Yisrael, where he lived most of his life in Jerusalem, largely removed from public attention and completely immersed in learning, prayer, and spiritual refinement.
For decades, Rav Kaduri studied day and night ☀️🌙,eventually becoming a leading authority in Kabbalah and the head of Yeshivat Nahalat Yitzhak. Despite his deep mysticism, he was known for his simplicity, love for every Jew, and powerful blessings, which drew people from all walks of life seeking guidance, healing, and hope. Rav Kaduri passed away in 2006 at an exceptionally old age, leaving behind a legacy of awe, faith, and closeness to Hashem. On his hilula, many light candles, learn Torah, and remember his merit as a source of blessing for Am Yisrael 🇮🇱.
